Theology from the Bay, for the Bay

The Vision for Bay Area Theology Podcast

God is at work in the San Francisco Bay Area. People are seeking for God and looking for answers to life’s most significant problems and questions. And God is gathering men and women in the Bay Area who are rooted in the truth and who have experienced the power of God in their own lives to join their voices together so that collectively we might discern and discover the work of God in one of the world’s most influential regions.

Please join us in the conversation about who God is and what he is doing through the lives of people here in the Bay Area who are devoted to knowing Him and making Him known.

About Us

Bay Area Theology is a platform for conversations shaped by historic Christian faith and grounded in the realities of life in the Bay Area.

We believe theology is not reserved only for classrooms or conferences. Theology shapes everyday life for everyone — Whether we see it at work or not, what we believe affects our churches, families, vocations, neighborhoods, and witness. In a region known for innovation, diversity, skepticism, and cultural influence, we want to create space for thoughtful conversations that connect deep truth to real life.

Through long-form discussions, interviews, essays, and more, we aim to serve pastors, church leaders, students, and everyday Christians seeking to follow Christ faithfully in our unique cultural moment.

Why This Matters

The Bay Area helps shape the culture of the world. Technology, ideas, art, education, and innovation flow outward from this region every day.

We believe the Church in the Bay Area has a unique opportunity and responsibility to bear witness to the beauty, goodness, and truth of Jesus Christ here and now.

Bay Area Theology exists to encourage that work.
